Advent is a time of preparation, celebration, and anticipation. It’s a look back into the past to see how God’s people looked forward to the coming of the Messiah and celebrate His coming 2,000 years ago. It’s a time for us to prepare our hearts, minds, and spirits to reflect on and celebrate the greatest event in history, God-eternal coming to dwell with His creation. It’s also a time to anticipate Jesus coming again as King of Kings. Advent builds our excitement and anticipation of Jesus’ glorious return.
